Meet The Sheng Works Team
The Sheng Works team is here to welcome and support you on your health journey, whatever that may look like for you. The beauty of Chinese medicine is our capacity to look at your health through a different lens and assess your WHOLE health story, make sense of it and reinterpret it with a fresh view and understanding.
Health and healing come from self-awareness and understanding (and often with a good dose of pins and herbs!) from practitioners who understand your concerns
Need to make sense of your health story? Book a consult with one of our us to get started on your path to understanding.

All our Acupuncturists are AHPRA Registered Practitioners with extensive qualifications in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine as well as hold extra trainings in our other special interests.
Meet Mandy Gratzer, Director

An old profession at a young age…
Mandy is the owner of Sheng Works Chinese Medicine.
At 18, she journeyed from Kununurra to Perth to study an Advanced Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Perth Academy of Natural Therapies. After completing her studies, she travelled to Hangzhou, China, undertaking an internship at the Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine under the guidance of several dual-trained doctors. The experience allowed her to weave together the theory and practice of TCM in an environment where traditional and Western medicine work side by side—an approach that continues to shape her holistic style of practice in Australia.
Following her internship, Mandy returned to her hometown of Darwin to establish her first clinic. After building a strong client base, she expanded her reach in 2007 by creating regular outreach clinics in Katherine and Kununurra. For six years, these clinics supported hundreds of rural residents who otherwise had limited access to Chinese medicine, a contribution she remains deeply proud of.
In August 2016, Mandy relocated to Perth, where sharing the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine with her community remains a central part of her purpose. She is now firmly rooted in Maylands and the wider City of Bayswater area, contributing to the well being of local residents with her expansion of services and further hiring of wonderfully qualified Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioners whilst also mentoring new graduates to join the practice ongoing.
Mandy serves on the WA State Committee of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association. Over the past five years, she has also founded and developed the Acupuncturists Biz Hub, ran the Business of Practice Conference TWICE for Acupuncturists, and built a mentorship program for emerging practitioners. Her course, A Guide to Setting Up Clinic, supports new acupuncturists as they navigate the early stages of establishing their practice.
Mandy is currently at capacity and not taking new patients. If you have a specific referral, please contact the clinic to be added to her wait list.
Her treating days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
About Shayan Kashani

Shay is a passionate acupuncturist with a double degree in Human Biology and Chinese Medicine from RMIT University.
Born and raised in China, Shay has a strong personal connection to Chinese culture and the philosophy that underpins traditional medicine.
He brings a hands-on, palpation-based method to treatment, using the body’s own feedback to guide his work and confirm that change is taking place—right there on the table. Shay’s style is rooted in curiosity and precision: he looks for where the body is “shouting for help,” supports it with targeted treatment, and allows the nervous system to take the lead in activating deep, lasting healing.
Shay is available for treatment on Fridays and select Saturdays.
